The irony is fantastic.
First, this isn't an Elon vs everyone else matter. He's not the one pushing for open borders. Nothing remotely to the levels of a Soros, Gates or others. Yet the latter are pumping massive amounts of cash into overtly Leftist causes, which are reeking havoc with society.
That's the issue, not how much money Elon's made from Space X, Tesla or other ventures.

He’s got different political views than them. What’s so odd about that? So do the Koch brothers.
And the money Elon makes IS the issue when the question you asked was essentially, Why does Elon do what he does? Well, by doing it he is making money at a faster rate than anybody in human history, so Occam’s Razor would lead us to guess: to make money.
