They need to find a way to separate the kneeling and the anthem.
If they can't they are going to put a lot of players that don't want to be involved in a bad position.

I am about finished with the commissioner as well as the NFL. Lots of fine young men in the sport, but the politics has absolutely ruined it for me.

The NFL will cancel the National Anthem.
They can't afford the consequences of every player kneeling.
And they can't afford the consequences of telling the players not to kneel.
With no National Anthem the players complain and the fans complain but the majority of neither side walks away from the game long-term.
