So the Democrats super hero Hussain Obama’s legacy is a failure.

As an employed middle class American I say a big frick You to Osamacare, my premiums have skyrocketed 400% while the coverage decreased.

And again the left screws the tax payer for doing what’s right and donating 30% of my salary to these crooks.

If they're qualified, why not. At worst, it's an intermediate solution until we abolish the AMA monopoly on medical schools.

Direct primary care should be the ideal.

Either accept that some people won't be able to afford the best medical care our world has ever seen, or accept everyone will have to pay lots extra to cover said people.

What is an actual proposal to make healthcare more affordable and bring down massive co pays

Transparency in billing

Cap the amount they can charge for certain things (should never be able to charge $200 for ibuprofen, etc)

Make them offer a cash price for everything

Because, by US standards, they often are not.

To the same end, take the restrictors off of our domestic medical training numbers to any extent necessary. The US medical industry is not suffering from a lack of good applicants.

Costs $14K per night in the ICU and a RN might take home about $450 of that (before taxes).
$450 per night is clearing $100k per year

Published itemized pricing for every procedure that everyone pays the same for. Full disclosure usually fixes shite the fastest.

Look it up.

Since 1970 the number of doctors has gone up like 200% while the number of admins has gone up by 3800%.

Ask any doctor about all of the redundant suits walking around.

Same problem with education. My granddaughter's high school has four assistant principals and a chief of staff with a staff.

Right ... and Covid came from Bat Soup.
Suffice it to say, you've been misled.

Anecdotally, through my career it's not been unusual to encounter foreigners seeking care here. I've never cared for a single patient who at some point had sought to have a procedure or medical care elsewhere. Not one.

Certainly, destination plastic surgery is a thing. E.g., Caribbean Centers, often run by Americans, offer the combination of a plastics procedure and private getaway while the recipient tells acquaintances he/she is vacationing at a resort. One could see the appeal of that set up. I've just never come across a patient who's done it.

Americans do buy medicines (e.g., "male enhancers") overseas, especially by mail order. The CDC regards that as "seeking overseas medical care" too.

Excepting plastics and meds though, the vast majority of foreign travel for care cases are uninsured folks, and a majority of those are immigrants in circumstances where they're confident they can gain US re-entry afterwards. Reasons for seeking foreign care in those circumstances are obvious and have little to do with comparative competence. Over the years, those cumulative instances probably run in the millions. That number forms basis for the "droves" you may have read about.

However, if you're so inclined and want to test the waters, Michael Moore says Cuba is absolutely the place to go.

Get rid of western medicine! We don't need pimple poppers or headshrinks. Break a bone? Get it set! Need a would stitched, go for it. Most everything else is controlled by diet and lifestyle. Move your arse fatty and eat only what grows or grazes, as close to unprocessed as possible. No more soda pop/coke, no more already juiced fruit/veggiie juices, no bags of chips or crackers, if you want them, cook them at home.

Most RNs in the hospital work 3x12 hr shifts each week (36 is considered full time). That’s $70K/yr, assuming you take no vacation and you work nights + weekends (usually an extra $10/hr). If you work 3x12 dayshift you make about $60K.

You’d need to work 48+ hrs/wk all year to clear $100K.

Way to deflect. Your assumption was we worked 5x8s, thus 40 hrs/wk (aka normal hours), hence how you came up with >$100K. Now 48 is normal to support your narrative? Talking out both sides of your mouth

But yea RNs are just normal folk trying to get by. Suggesting the people making base $30-35/hr are the problem when they charge you $14K/night in the ICU is..retarded
