The only people left that are serious abiders of the catholic faith are quick to tell you that they’re the first church and every other Jesus religion is just an offshoot of Catholicism. So the idea that those people would start something new would basically wreck their talking point, which is a fallacy anyway. I’m sure most will state “well we’re not doing that at my church” and just keep their head buried.

wouldn't worry about that if i were you at the rate the protestant church is dying in the united states, it will be long gone before anything happens to the church!

Are these people converting when they cross the border or something? The Catholic Church is universal and global. If I move to Antarctica or Gary, I’m still the same Catholic.
