This is how we got here.

Caveat, I care and still have almost no ability to effect change.

The honest truth is that we are too big with too different goals to ever be a cohesive nation at this point. That’s pretty clear.

Can you provide the law you're citing?
Well, actually I thought it was general information most folks were born with, but Mexico and the US (Trump) negotiated an agreement in 2019 to do this with the threat of increased tarriffs.

You listen to Ezra fricking Klein?

I listen to a variery of media and viewpoints including Ezra.

It's called not living in an echo chamber cult like you, pal.

And also you’re dumb enough to vomit his talking points all over the board?

Noone has refuted any of Ezra's commentary...just the usual muH BiDeN and other cult approved retorts.

This board is an echo chamber and needs to see what others think about the current state of affairs.

This board needs a break from unending worship of Dear Leader.

It’s not that people believe Trump is flawless, in this case, Republicans barely managed to get the bill through, and you’re still upset about it. So, what specifically do you think should have been included in the House bill, cuts or otherwise, that realistically could have made it in and the bill still pass but wasn’t?

Defend this trainwreck of a bill, MAGA bros.

No.

No matter what, or who is in charge, every bill is full of pork and kickbacks to the corrupt politicians that author them. There's too much spending, no debt reduction and always a lift to the debt ceiling. It's unsustainable and they're collapsing it on purpose, while blaming capitalism although it's the fault of cronyism and corporatocracy. We are ruled by Etatist Kleptocrats.

No, I will not defend that.

What I do know, is that there's one single thing in that abomination of a bill that will personally help me greatly in my preparation for the inevitable collapse. No tax on overtime, if it doesn't get cut before all is said and done, will drastically increase my take-home pay (a LOT) and afford me to buy a hell of a lot more beans and bullets.

There is no solution. It's all corrupt. So I look to find just one thing that actually helps me and my family. It's rare to actually get something, so I'll take that little win that just happens to be nestled inside a shite sandwich the size of Rhode Island.

We were close at one point but Biden ended talks on it.(Bad decision). What trump did was a remain in Mexico policy where you remain on the mexico awaiting asylum hearings. Not a terrible policy but not a safe third agreement either. We should work to achieve more safe third agreements though as a solution I'm a fan of.

To be fair you haven't provided any kind of real summary or lead in to make people watch it. I don't hate Ezra but I've also not had an hour to commit today to discuss in super detail....

No way in Hell you can believe the 20mm here were asylyum seekers. It was an invasion and invited by the Biden admin handlers. It's enough to crash the healthcare system and the blue state give aways.

Proof that you’re a mentally challenged psycho

How else would you describe environmental legislation?

All the strings attached to the grants that fund these projects? And then get audited in layers by city states and federal levels for some of it?

Look at operation warpspeed. Trump admin was able to drive the private market to produce a vaccine in record time using technology that was denied funding repeatedly. Lots of red tape simplified and and incredible focus on the goal drove that to success.

While something like the California rail failed miserably despite people wanting it and tons of funding being thrown at it.
