Most people in line units didn't give two shits about gays openly serving. Many were already openly serving in all but name.
Women is an entirely different thing, and if you've never served in a line unit, you simply wouldn't understand and should STFU.

You are right, most people probably don't care, just like most people never served and thus are hopelessly uninformed on the subject.
I served in the Infantry, and women have no place there.

Completely wrong. I supported the repeal of DADT 100%. I'm adamantly against women serving where they don't belong.

I was labeled a shite bag for being a 30 year old who ran a low-mid first- class PFT in my infantry unit. Constantly harassed by my superiors wondering why I didn't run a high 1st class. The new standards implemented to cater to females are ridiculous. Even I, captain shite bag, smoked the hell out of the new standards.
