If you're trying to argue that Trump had nothing to do with the decline, then yeah, you do need to know the cause of the increase.

Your "post covid spike" is suggesting that covid caused it, and once covid passed the crime naturally returned to pre-covid levels.

That's making an assumption, that it was covid, and not policy, that drove the increase.

If it was policy that drove the increase, then it wouldn't be a "spike" until the policy was reversed.

If conservatives helped reverse the policy, then they're at least partly responsible for helping that icnrease be a spike instead of the new normal.

Any impact Biden or Trump had was negligible due to the extremely small scope of federal law enforcement on the whole of American law enforcement.

It's not about policy or philosophy. It's just about scope.

For example, to use your example, what we saw with BLM was individual jurisdictions acting on their own, which is specifically non-federal in nature. Any promotion (or reversal) of those policies has nothing to do with Biden or Trump.

No. As I said. It's a temporal reference.

Only crazy partisans would understand a BLM-spike

The spike references the crime rates only.

Visual representation of the post-Covid spike, agnostic to any policy reference.

You are in this thread suggesting that politics didn't play a role. That, in and of itself, is political. It's in defense of progressive insanity when it comes to the criminal justice system.

So no, people in this thread aren't going to take your comments "agnostically" and do see you, rightfully, as a dishonest political actor.

That's a straw man. I specifically said IN THE POST TO WHICH YOU REPLIED

Discussing federal policies =/= "politics" as a general concept

I also said that I'm not discussing any cause because its too early to be able to do so. This statement does not exclude any potential causes.

quote:

That, in and of itself, is political. It's in defense of progressive insanity when it comes to the criminal justice system.

See now you're just responding to your own straw man.

Pathetic TDS crybaby c unts.

Exactly...the ones on this board with terminal TDS probably have never done one thing in their lives to help this country yet they cry and scream like a bunch of male Karens!

Oh look how you selectively left off the part where I said and anything Republicans do.

Proving you are a hack, leaving that part of my post out of your response.

Yes, you've walked it back after I rubbed your nose in the mess you left on the rug.

Your first reaction was to laugh then try and pretend "covid spikes" were the cause.

I just called you out.

Thanks for walking it back

I know this thread is 5 pages in but did anyone identify Trump’s specific policy that had the biggest impact on violent crime in the past year?

I agree he has done a lot. But I think that not revamping the DOJ and FBI, Bondi, Patel, Bongino are why this poll just came out so badly.

It is fracturing the base but MTG and Massie are lining up to take a hammer to it and profit politically with the establishment licking their lips

If tweet fails to load, click here.

People will stay home if Patel keeps saying no there there-especially regarding Butler and J6. Even when Trump's economy gets going well.

Then the dems will join happily with the Rs and impeach and remove Trump. Vance whether true blue MAGA or not, will have no leverage so the swamp will pick his VP, and he will suffer in 2028...

Cruz, DeSantis, Nikki, Pompeo, Paul Ryan, George P Bush, Massie, MTG, be going

Saying MAGA IS DEAD. And I am sorry but the FBI was suppose to be dismantled and all agents sent out across America. Patel/Bongino said no there, there. in Butler. They need recalled. They won't just put Trump in jail. MAGA will go to jail for existing. MTG won't save MAGA. We don't have much time.

Tulsi did her job. Ratcliffe needs called out big time.

Tulsi could save us but will she get the male voters because ya'll are stupid thinking all women are AOC stupid? Then we get President AOC and VP Crocket. 26 Justices and AG Tish James.

He cleaned up cities after they were let to go to hell. OP is saying he had the balls to clean it up and deserves accolades, no?

Head of MAGA, which pushed against defunding the police/"restorative justice", and deporting criminals that the Biden admin let in.

Inflation is also half of what it was under Biden and wages have been outpacing inflation for the first since the end of Trump's first term.
