I'm just asking questions, but common sense would tell you they start with legal gun owners and weed out the rest over time and pass legislation making it a felony to own a gun. Most respond oh I'd die on the hill before they take my guns....but would you really? Tough road ahead only god can save us.

The military takes an oath to defend the Constitution, and to defend us from both Foreign and Domestic enemies. I know it’s been corrupted, but any random confiscation, domestically, is an unlawful order, and unconstitutional for many reasons. Plus, and I do know this, people will not roll-over for this one, it won’t be like the pandemics. We give up guns and we might as well just put a gun to our own heads…

I agree with all of this, but politicians take the same oath and the military has become very political, pawns doing as been told.

If the government or whomever was coming to confiscate your firearms while ignoring the Second Amendment, what is the point of hiding your guns? I have never understood this whole "boating accident" mentality. What are you hiding your guns in preparation for that is more worrying to you than the Constitution being ripped apart?

post katrina nola... NOTHING... read the great american gun grab. Nobody fought back law abiding citizens just handed over their guns at a time when they needed them most.

Confiscating all guns would have such a detrimental effect on this country that we would probably never recover from it. It's not like the only guns taken will be guns that are typically thought of as murder weapons. You're talking about hunting weapons also which generate billions of dollars of revenue for federal and state governments not to mention billions in salaries of people who work in the industry.

No they wouldn’t. The cops would cheerfully enforce whatever the rulers tell them to enforce. They don’t give a shite about you. They want their retirement and would have no problem going violent on you or anyone else. They’re only concern is that you back the blue when they need you. Remember how they arrested or cited businesses during the lockdowns.

The military people themselves.
Unlike most military states, our military is made up of regular people and not a section of society that is segregated and paid more and more heavily protected than the average citizen. If those orders came through (violating the Constitution), I would imagine that 50% of the military would not follow the orders to go after American citizens.

If your boss said “go to the most redneck area of the state or the ghetto and demand people give up their guns”, would you do it? It would take a highly motivated and well paid individual to take on that mission. I would love to see it honestly.
