Great weather isn’t for everyone.

Subjective I guess. I hate Florida's weather. Hot and sticky isn't my deal. I'd rather live in Canada.

Well, enjoy that little slice of heaven you found in Ohio, bud.

Florida is far from a shithole.

If Republicans are too stupid to take political advantage of COVID and the other policy issues libs have handed them on a silver platter, then we deserve to see all 50 states blue.

Republicans/conservatives have never before been blessed with such morons for opposition, nor had better political issues (created by Dems) to make their case to middle America about.

You enjoy those Ohio beaches.

I was born and raised in Florida . My dads side came to Florida in 1810 from North Carolina. Most of my family still lives there.

I spent my early years in the panhandle in Port St. Joe and Panama City and we moved to Central Florida (Volusia County) when I was 12 . I skipped a lot of high school and spent it on New Smyrna or Daytona Beach. Went there nearly every weekend also. So a beach isn't a big deal to me.

I don't miss 8 or 9 months of hot weather. In Ohio we have 4 or 5 cold months and maybe 2 months of heat. About half the year the weather is 50-70 degrees.

I miss my family but not the heat , crowds and traffic.

Port St. Joe

Never mention this place again. It’s too close to a place I don’t want the Yankees to take over.

you do realize that the demographic that you are hinting at, more often than not identifies with conservatives. Oil & Gas jobs = republican. I work in the industry and have seen it first hand.

Texas, no doubt. Look at the results of Ted Cruz's reelection effort.

I also believe that a lot of the shift is generational. Many of the California transplants are coming to Texas for a better lifestyle which in turn typically means conservative lifestyle. I’ve heard of them leaving because Cali has gotten too liberal for them and they don’t what to raise kids there. I would say many coming to Texas are moderates.

They assimilate into baw culture very very quickly is all im saying. I’ve talked to some and they sound no different than some redneck from Bawcomville. The only way you’d tell is their name.
