Free market for law enforcement?

Less than 5%. It was the plan since the turn of the century to get the people dependent upon the government until it was "too big to fail".

We'll never have government out of our lives

There are some battles worth fighting to minimize their role in our lives but to the extent the libertarians would like is not an achievable goal. If for no other reason that libertarians are almost all too bat shite crazy to attain power

0% But smart independent adults want as little as possible.

We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States

Establish justice. A law making system and a court system.
Insure domestic tranquillity. A law enforcement system.
Provide for the common defense. National armed forces.
Promote the general welfare. Here there be dragons.
Secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity. Strong limits on government power.

As to members of the LPA, I agree with you. But about 15% of the GOP identify as libertarians. We outnumber the LPA, and we are the pragmatic, rational libertarians.

Every political ideology has its nutcases. The LPA are the fringe nutcases of libertarian thought. The SJWs fit the bill for the Left, and the Right has its fringe groups as well ... many of whom tend to be single-issue types.

I think anyone who wants all of government out of our lives are ready for the utopian funny farm. However, most of us would definitely like less intrusive government in our lives. There's a difference.

Well, that's the challenge of the OP. I'm not an anarchist.

Many people seem to think leaning libertarian = leaning anarchist.

Hmmm, why does this remind me of an HOA council?
