Is that when you were all self quarantined?

I'm not trying to demean or throw an insult, the following is an actual question.

What does this mean? Why does this question call bullshite on my stance that the president reacted too late?

You've been that one wandering around in a mask since January...and self quarantined?

Quit lying.

Obviously I wouldn't wear a mask since we desperately need those for healthcare workers. But since mid-February I have been in surge capacity planning at my system alongside other health systems in the area and our state health department.

Yeah hindsight is 20/20 but it turns out mass testing and quarantining those infected and folks who had direct contact (while allowing society to keep moving along as normally as possible), was the way to go.

By downplaying it and not rolling out robust testing programs he made it worse than it could have been. At least in terms of the effect on the economy. But outside of S Korea this is the approach basically every non-authoritarian regime took.

Its still not going to kill as many as the flu. Its just not.

Well, we are very hopeful that it won't and I don't know if you've looked around, we as a country are taking a ton fairly drastic measure to make sure of it. Absent those measures it absolutely would. Have you seen Italy's numbers? And that's with a week and a half of mitigation. 625 people today alone. And their daily mortality figures have been growing. That adds up. This is a nasty bug.

You suggest he "reacted too late". The reaction was to insist on a quarantine. You believing this was late because you already took the precaution....please do continue to insist on this late story.

In what ways is one individual with no regulatory power being late to react different than the POTUS?

If he did, you'd have more than a few people that wouldn't take it because... Trump.

Early on he significantly underestimated where we were headed in his public statements. I'm glad he came to his senses. He's been doing better.

How do you have testing kits already for a virus you didn't know was out?

The CDC knew in January.

the CDC rejected the WHO tests to make their own

the CDC tests failed in their initial release

the CDC's whole strategy relied on those initial tests so we were even further behind the ball

It’s not always ideal.

It’s also exactly what the last president was and nobody gave a shite.
