I thought you were the super “principled” type, fighting against Trump’s supposed lack of principles. I guess dismemberment of babies in the womb doesn’t make the cut on the list of principles.

I don't like abortion and the whole topic makes me ill and extremely unconformable.... but I can't say that the pro-choice side doesn't have a point. Women have autonomy over their bodies and right to their own medical decisions. What makes abortion uniquely different is that we are talking about the extinguishing of human life in some stage at some point. Both sides on the issue have a valid point and I don't nececcearily disagree with the pro-life side. I am not smart enough or have enough moral clarity to figure it out.The only thing that can be done is let society have a vote and decide it at the state or Congressional level. There is no real solution to this issue in American society. The practical reality is abortion will always be with us in some form or fashion no matter. It always has and it always will regardless what you or I think about it. It could be outlawed nationally tomorrow and it will still happen.
What I do know is that abortion doesn't affect my life whatsoever. I think there are far more serious existential threats to this country right now and abortion ain't one of them. Conservatives got what they wanted in the recent Roe decision so they should just leave it alone I/m/o.
