DJT is so much smarter then all these cuck politicians so i think this shutdown will be used usher in a pretty big change that none of them will like at all.
i see two options from here:
1 - they change the government butt coming out of the shut down but not reopening at least half or more of the waste that is in all these offices and programs we really dont need in a sweeping reorganization that can only happen if they are already all shut down, like they are about to be.
2 - the republicans finally change the rules in senate to end the 60 vote forever and a simple majority 51 votes is all that is needed for everything to pas, everything.
the republicans definitely DONT WANT option 2 because then they have to show their arse and cant hide the fact they support socialism and are really liberal democrats which means they will all lose and will all get replaced in the 2018 or the 2020 election.
option 1 is trumps fail safe win in that he can finally kill many of the most parasitic, unnecessary, and unneeded government programs and BS he wants to get rid of, but much of it cant be deleted without causing massive issues with many other agencies so it can only be done if everything is all shut down already.
like with everything else they have tried, every time they try to frick with this president they end up getting it rammed in themselves dry and hard

They weren’t voting for DJT anyways. I say, let their unions or Dem leaders pay their wages.
MAGA!

Shutdown do the opposite of save money

Get backpay. It's not the federal workers fault that congress can't work this out.

It's also a waste of money in other ways. The agencies that do shut down have to stop contracts, issue change orders to have the contractor re-mobilize, paid for lost time, etc. The cost of getting everything prepared for a shutdown, even if it doesn't happen isn't cheap.

yep they get all the back pay like it never happened so its free vacation for them.
where it saves is in the daily costs to run things as well as things they do that costs us money so think of it like a charity shutting down, every day they are closed money isnt going out the door. some of that will be made up for when it reopens but not all of it so there will definitely be "some" savings, but by comparison to what they spend every year its minuscule, but even a small "token" savings is still a good thing.
