I get impatient when the pump runs slow and a 2 minute fill-up takes 4. Can't imagine waiting an average of 39 minutes every 100-200 miles. I would lose my mind or suffer a stroke, or both.

I dated a girl that drove her Tesla from Los Angeles to South Texas and had no issues. As usual you know nothing.

decent idea. just doesn't seem logistically feasible.
1. the lightest Tesla battery weighs over a 1000 pounds. so you ain't just lifting it out of your car and carrying it to the battery switch out station.

2. It seems like someone somewhere (ughh. Tesla, I guess) is going to have a problem with supplying batteries to stations and then the issue with dead batteries (the most expensive part of the car) being switched out for a good one?

I'm curious. what are the advantages pure electric vehicles are supposed to have over hybrids? anything out side of "climate change" fantasyland?

If you have a single family home with a garage and rarely leave your metro area you never need to use public charging and obviously have no need to go to a gas station. You just plug in when you get home and you don't even have to do it every day.

That mom and pop truckstop in Meridian always had the best food! Think it was called Queen City truck stop.

You never need to go to a gas station and they have more torque?

My BIL dropped 106K on an Audi EV. They live in the ATL while I live in Birmingham. They ALWAYS drive my sister's 2015 Mercedes SUV when visiting even though its ~3 hours away. Dumbest big ticket purchase ever.

My guess is your BIL is 35-45 years of age, partially woke and the Audi EV is a status symbol along with a little virtue signaling .

54 charging stops @ an avg of 39 minutes = 35 hrs

Wonder if he found charging stations just off the freeway or did he have to go "into" town to find one.

In my truck, I could do that with about 11 stops for gas. 36 gallon tank and has about 550-600 mile range.
