So many are using this as a metric as to when things can return to normal, but there is no telling how long this will take, if ever. Not to mention, I don’t think a large portion of the population will be clamoring to be guinea pigs on version 1.0 of this. I’m not an anti-Vaxer at all, but I’ll be hesitant on this one at least until it’s proven on a mass scale.

Just to clarify, no vaccine and no pharma product that knocks it out?

There won’t be.

It will mutate and we will build partial immunity to it as it blends into the background of viruses that circulate yearly as a mild flu like virus.

The vaccine, if we develop one will likely be no more effective than a conventional flu vaccine......which means maybe 50-60% effective. I’ve heard several people say they’re not taking any COVID19 vaccine until it’s been around at least two years and then they may still say no.

There may not be but there will be effective treatments once we have more time to study. I have no doubt in that. I read something awhile back that didn’t think we would ever have a vaccine and said the next generation will refer to the winter sick period as “cold, flu, and corona season”.

No vaccine

I don’t see anyone tying this to a “cure”, though it may be determined the best that can be done is something to lessen the symptoms.

So at what point do we become reasonable and just say it is what it is and proceed along as normal. Having states and municipalities say we won’t do x until there is a vaccine is pointless and at some point it will have to be walked back.

Honestly, we don’t really need a vaccine, we need effective therapeutics. As with all flu type viruses the people who are more prone to complications from this type of infection need to take it upon themselves to mitigate their chances of contracting the virus.

When you consider that 99.9% of the people who contract Covid19 will not suffer from extreme complications I would say we’re close to seeing the 99.9% of Americans telling the government to pound sand.

There won’t be a vaccine. There’s no vaccine for the previous Covid viruses. Holding out for a vaccine is just the Democrats justification to destroy the economy and insure Trump’s defeat. They want you out of work, ruined financially or dead.

You’d think, but you’re having people tattling on restaurants when they have too many folks outside waiting on food, while the Lowe’s down the street is packed to the gills from sun up to sundown.

There WILL be a vaccine, it probably won't work as a cure, but it will do great as a delivery as a tracking mechanism. There has to be a vaccine for ID2020 to be implemented IMO.

Because we’ve never really tried.

Gave up on first SARS because it went away on its own so quick
