Why not spend the $5B to prevent actual drugs from coming into the actual country through actual routes?

Because they want a big symbolic middle finger to the folks who keep agriculture afloat but aren't interested in practical, fiscally sound solutions. They don't care more about the opioid epidemic than everyone else, and the way they're linking it to the wall debate is retarded

The wall would most certainly prevent drugs from entering the country. The ones that are currently being smuggled through the open border areas.

Why do you not want to reduce drug crime/violence?

Except that I think a monolithic wall is a waste of money and there are better ways to secure the border.

I'm simply in this thread to point out BamaATL's hypocrisy.

In case you didn't notice, there is millions of $ in the package Trump is asking for to detect drugs at ports of entry.

Money that DEMOCRATS won't give him.

Carry on with your bullshite narrative though.

Well 40100 are killed by vehicle crashes. So can we ban vehicles. After all, if it saves one life it’s worth it.

90% of which come across our southern border.

Your link does not support this.

As a matter of fact, the percentage crossing the border aside, your link implies that at least 25% of the overdose deaths are from "commonly prescribed opioids".

What about the fear-mongering moron who started this thread? Don't you think your faux outrage is pathetic as well?

False!

But according to the CDC about 650,000 are killed in America every year by the "right to choose".
