Good question and not sure but one thing I don’t worry about is our Neocon infested government and MIC soon finding another situation in the world to exploit and make boatloads of money in the process.
Spreading “democracy” by force is too lucrative for our DC junkies to give up the habit.

If this war is about Russia not wanting Nato on their borders
"Russia not wanting Nato on their borders" IN UKRAINE OR GEORGIA is not even reasonably debatable. It has been a prominent point of Russian concern, and Russia's publicly proclaimed "Red Line," for a quarter century.
In fact, it has been so often noted in diplomatic discussions and is so widely known, that anyone contending otherwise is either frankly compromised or a political dumbass.

Sweden is ending 200 hundred years of neutrality

Finland decided to join

Russia has plenty of history of throwing bodies at a war. Against Nazi Germany they the certainly had to, but now they have a population issue

All of the military logistics are on the side of Ukraine.
Posters here referencing how the Russians are literally "throwing bodies" is correct. They are fighting this like the old world wars. Many or most of their high ranking and experienced military personnel are fricking dead. They are sending in untrained folks to be more target practice for the Ukraine forces.
It's really a no win situation for Russia at all.
Ukraine will NOT run out of soldiers. Period. The US will not allow the Russians to take over - NATO will not allow the Russians to take over - the European Union will not allow the Russians to take over.
I'm not on "sides" with this shite. I wish we weren't arse deep in already taking sides as a Nation vs Russia unless it was a true ally that was worth defending.

and most of them are trying desperately to avoid being sent into the meat-grinder the war has become.

quote:maybe. I don’t recall for certain, but the invasion route may well have gone through modern Belarus (also Commonwealth territory). But, most of modern Ukraine WAS in fact PART of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, at the time.
Indeed, through what is present-day Ukraine.

Let's just empty the prisons in Poland and other Russia hating countries. Would love to see the first suicidal wave of Polish convicts.

That is why the use of nukes is very real in this situation. It almost has to be a slow bleed out so Russia doesn't hit frick it.
Don't forget the lack of leadership on the ground. You don't exactly have sergeants on the ground making real time decisions. It's an order from the top and the soliders just keep trying to attain that goal regardless of the conditions on the ground.
That is what is fricking them. WW1 they lost about 2 million. WW2 they lost about 27 million. That's a lot of people not having babies and being replaced.

It ain’t their first rodeo. To put this in perspective we lost around 50K men in Vietnam. They are reporting 100K plus at least in a way shorter time period. Ukraine is less but not far behind.
