Good post. I've posted in the past how he could come very powerful. That has happened... mostly bad, some good. As a candidate, or even potential candidate, he could garner more power and make just enough difference to tip the scales one way or another.
"I’m not so sure. If he could peel off enough electoral votes to keep the R and D candidates under 270, it goes to the House. It’s possible the House could then see him as compromise candidate, and the Senate could make potato head VP. Manchin could conceivably cause problems in states like Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and maybe even Texas. I suspect he’s currently trying to figure which states he could potentially win and would focus on them'.
