if he becomes an Independent and runs for President as a third party, running with a Republican (like Brian Sandoval) as a VP running mate?

He’s had private fundraising events with very wealthy political insiders for over a year to explore just that. I told the board this a year ago.

This. Machin is actively trying to configure a path into the 2024 race.

You mean the rube from West Virginia who got totally played by a slimy cocksucker named Chuck Schumer? THAT Joe Manchin?

I’d love for him to run as a Dem. Many Democratic voters won’t read past Joe on the ballot.

He would be great at getting moderates to vote for him as a democrat. Not sure he could win the primary unless they rig it for him. As a independent he would get much votes outside of West Virginia.

I’m not so sure. If he could peel off enough electoral votes to keep the R and D candidates under 270, it goes to the House. It’s possible the House could then see him as compromise candidate, and the Senate could make potato head VP. Manchin could conceivably cause problems in states like Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and maybe even Texas. I suspect he’s currently trying to figure which states he could potentially win and would focus on them.

If he ran, it would be in the way that allows him to get to a debate stage. The DEMs won't likely give him that chance.
