She isn’t a havad or Yale grad. They will NEVER allow her in.
Roberts J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1979
Thomas J.D. from Yale Law School in 1974
Ginsburg attended Harvard Law School, and received her LL.B. from Columbia Law School.
Breyer LL.B. from Harvard Law School
Alito JD Yale Law School in 1975,
Sotomayor In 1979, she earned a J.D. from Yale Law
Kagan J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1986
Gorsuch J.D. from Harvard Law School
Kavanaugh J.D. from Yale Law School in 1990
Barret. In 1997, she graduated summa cum laude from the Notre Dame Law School with a JD
One of these things is not like the others...

The Republicans control the Senate, but it will be a Presidential election year. Will Mitch table the search for the next justice until after the election like he did for Merrick Garland?
That wasn't Mitch's position

The Biden rule is when the sitting president is a lame duck. Trump won't be a lame duck, unless he loses the election, so toss that idea out the window.

HW was running for reelection.

It needs to be a comfortable 5-3 to get the camps up and running

Not a bad hypothetical “gotcha,” but the electorate has shown in two elections now that it isn’t all that collectively appalled by how the GOP has gone about this.
Like it or not, Republicans didn’t come away from this looking worse, and Democrats, no better. Republicans will nominate if they want, and that’s a good thing if you’re into the Constitution. Conservative judges tend to align more closely to the job description when it comes to SCOTUS (one could argue that that’s what “conservative” means).

I can't wait for RBG to die. Libs are the enemy.

That’s a bridge too far for me. I wish they’d let her retire in peace.

Obama was on his way out in 2016. Trump will still be in office and running for another term. Nominations will be brought before the Senate.

1. There is no Biden Rule. He merely mentioned this issue in a speech many moons ago.
2. RBG might die, but she is not gonna resign.

I know she won’t resign. Her handlers won’t let her.

The Demwits will never adhere to the precedent in the future.
Play by their rules. Do as we want ... frick’em if they don’t like it. Let’em scream. frick’em.
This is always the way to deal w/ enemies, and the globalist / socialist wannabes are enemies. Stick it to the dirty frickers just like they would do to the great Republic of the U.S.A.
KEEP AMERICA GREAT

I hope they ram it through but my god could you imagine the meltdown from the left if they did

No! If the Dems control the Senate than they can but if rep keep it they will put a nominee through. Politics you know...

Anyone who thinks either party wouldn't or thinks they could argue their way out of that inevitably no matter which party controlled both the WH and Senate is a child.
These "rules" only apply either as a petulant, losing effort to thwart (when your side controls neither) or as a justification for tabling a nominee (in the case your side controls the senate only).

It really shouldn't matter what law school one attends when it comes to Article III judicial selection, Hugo Black attended Alabama Law and I think he's one of the all-time greats on the bench, Rehnquist Stanford, same for O'Connor its complete and utter bull that we're allowing Ivy League elitism to govern our judicial selection, these people should be assessed due to merit not due to school, hell even Justice Thomas thinks his Yale law degree was worth shite, the dude prefers to hire non-Ivy League grads as clerks, the whole Ivy League schtick is a complete mythical fallacy

Couldn't possibly have anything to do with being sick of the left trying to ruin every aspect of their lives by shoving BS down their throats could it?
