So they were:
- Removing links to the Project Veritas Google story
- Removing The_Donald's moderator's ability so he couldn't remove posts that violated posting rules
- Quarantining the sub over Poison Pill posts from leftists trolls, which T_D no longer had the ability to remove.

That is correct.
I'm actually surprised that TD even exists over there. Reddit has for a long time been a giant lefty echo chamber, the downvote being the way they can shut out anyone who disagrees with them. I can't understand how there can be so many lefty sheep as to be able to consistently rain shite at a high volume onto everyone and everything, but they do.

Reddit's official IRC Server, Snoonet, banned The_Donald from there way back in 2016. It was a matter of time

yeah ok chief. i've been on there off and on for 2 years and NOTHING remotely like that has ever been posted. its a cheering squad for the military, law enforcement, etc.
but go ahead & buy into the fake narrative that suddenly the nazis at t_d showed their true colors and have secretly wanted to kill Oregon cops.
this would be laughable if it weren't used as an excuse to silence the biggest pro-Trump sub (Trump had an AMA on there once)

I’m not doubting you and I think it’s possible, but if the thing about mods not being able to remove posts that break the rules is true, then that changes it completely. I’m not doubting the crazies exist, I just never really encountered them on r/The_Donald. It’s generally just a meme factory.

Of course there are. There are plenty of anarchists and conspiracy theorists who have started calling themselves "conservatives" simply because we have a much much longer leash for free speech than the other side. The moderator of The_Donald went into detail about how much they clean up on the sub. But if they lost their moderation power....
Also, I don't doubt that Lefties were going on there and posting crazy crap to try to get the sub tanked. Call me conspiratorial.

It’s not conspiratorial if it’s what really happened. And that is exactly what happened. It was a coordinated attack from multiple lefty outlets, as has already been noted in this thread.
