Who are some examples?

Spends like a Democrat and expands the power/reach of fedgov because in principle, he believes in big government.

Romney is the prime example. Haley is another.

RINO examples:

Mitch McConnell
Lindsey Graham
Liz Cheney
Susan Collins
Francis Thompson
John Alario
Monique Blanco Boulet (Her mom was a Democrat, but more small government conservative than her.)

I think the jury could be out on Donald Trump. Let's see how his hopeful 2nd term goes.

My only problem with RINO is that you must consider the state they're serving. If you're a GOP rep from NY or Calif then you must be a RINO or you would never have been elected.
Liz Cheney is a real RINO because Wyoming is not a deep blue state.

Yeah. I don’t understand when “they” call someone a RINO at all. Their hero is the literal best example of an actual RINO.

USED to be... Traditionally.

Now it's anyone that doesn't agree 100% with Trump. Even though there is nothing Conservative or Rep. about Trump.

If you aren't a Commie Dictator loving, kool-aid drinking, hate spewing Trump Trooper, then you are a Rhino..

In today's world, Ronald Reagan & Pat Buchanan would be considered Rhino's..

How is Romney a Republican in name only?

I’m pretty sure he has one of the most conservative records out there.

What makes him a RINO?

I was wrong about Mitt. 48% lifetime score. Damn. RINO for sure.

While I don't like it, you are correct about this reality. Ted Cruz ain't getting elected to the U.S. Senate if he lives in California or New York.

Not 99%. It's a high percentage but not that.

Go to Covid funding that Trump tried to get a Republican primaried over because he spoke out against the waste of trillions on Democrat causes - there were 40 House Republicans that voted against the measure out of about 200, so that's probably a decent measure - 80% of Republicans are RINOs.

Yeah. It’s worked as his followers have run with that.

I was called a RINO by a weird cultist recently. It’s wild.

Collins has a 23% Heritage rating. The average Republican is 78%.

She is a RINO for sure.

Mitt Romney, John McCain, Lindsey Graham, John Cornyn, Mitch McConnel, Roger Wicker, John Boozman, Bill Cassidy(he's really a slimy libtard), Lisa Murkowski, John Thune, Thom Tillis, Dan Crenshaw, etc. etc. etc.

It's whatever label you give an elected official that gets to Washington and then completely shits on their constituents and only works to enrich themselves and maintain power.

True. All while Trump is actually a huge RINO on many traditionally important conservative issues like spending.

I usually think of someone like Romney when I hear this phrase though.

Republican In Name Only

Those that claim conservative beliefs but don't follow them. Think about claiming to be fiscally conservative, yet voting to spend 80B to Ukraine
