What are other reasonable substitutes for washing hands besides soap and water? I've been using a splash of rubbing alcohol. What about Windex? Anything else?

Bleach. At least 80 proof liquor. I've read home made sanitizers have to be at least 40% alcohol to be effective.

If you can't find rubbing alcohol, eyeglass lenses wipes can work in a pinch.

You could put your rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle and spritz your hands.

ETA: this is not to increase effectiveness, just to reduce waste. No telling when that will be unavailable and I doubt you want to waste your Makers Mark without damn good reason.

I just wipe them on my pants or shirt after I sneeze.
Is that wrong...should I not do that??

Rubbing alcohol works just fine, just use regular soap afterwards to get rid of the smell. Put it in a spray bottle to avoid waste as suggested.

Break cleaner, diesel or gas. If those won’t work I recommend an axe.

Hydrogen peroxide. Swab your nasal passages with it, gargle with it. You won't get the flu or China virus.
