That actually muddles the 2024 election quite a bit

Trump is a mercantilist, not a capitalist.

I just want policies that put American interests first.

Secure our borders, protect us from invaders, protect us from criminals, quit with the divisive rhetoric, quit promoting behaviors that are counterproductive to society.

In other words, keep me from getting murdered and leave me the hell alone, but with less gay stuff.

The right is not anti gay/trans, just don’t indoctrinate the children. Other than that they have all the rights everyone else does so it’s a dead issue to me.

The right is not pro Russia/putin, we’re just not blindly pro Ukraine and don’t like writing them blank checks. And we saw through the Russia hoax from the beginning.

The right is not not anti-immigration, we’re just anti-illegal immigration.

The right is not pro-closed borders, we’re for secure borders.

The right is not anti-college education, we’re against leftist indoctrination, student loan forgiveness, and pushing college-for-all policies. College isn’t for everyone.

The right is not anti-minority. I don’t know the basis for you saying this. It’s obviously not true. Maybe based on your perception of the border issue or welfare?

Whatever you want to call him, the modern left is straight up for many socialist policies and honestly, leans Marxist a lot of the time. Easy choice.

Mercantilism was a form of economic nationalism that sought to increase the prosperity and power of a nation through restrictive trade practices. Its goal was to increase the supply of a state's gold and silver with exports rather than to deplete it through imports. 1 It also sought to support domestic employment.

It's also anti free market and anti capitalist.

Legal immigration not illegal.
Trade reciprocity.
Non interventionalist foreign policy.
Federalists society recommended judges.

Those are my reasonable expectations.

My wishes are:
Abolish the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 and the U.S. Treasury take back monetary policy.
Abolish the 16th amendment.
Abolish the 17th amendment.

The slippery slope to despotic democracy is paved by those three issues. Remove them and we become more federalists as a nation.

The problem is with men. They believe they can ameliorate suffering. They can't. Never could and never will. When the say they can or try they are only kicking the can down the road. Suffering, mis and malinvestment needs to be worked out quickly and swiftly. IMO that is the fundamental idea behind a federalist republic. The Federal Reserve, the 16th and the 17th are antithetical to a federalist system the founders envisioned.

I’ve been reading this board since before Obama’s first term. A common theme on this board is anger and unkindness. Even after Trump was elected most on this board found a way to constantly bitch.
The Trump idolatry is a weird little niche that will eventually run its course but the overall theme hasn’t changed and will be here long after MAGA has died on the vine.

Nope. Same Central planning.

Planned economies with anti market strategies are all more "socialist" than markets.

This is where I stand.

Pro gun rights. Hell Yes

Anti abortion. Yes

Pro big oil. Pro energy independence
Pro coal. Pro energy independence

Anti big pharma. If research is funded with taxpayer dollars then drugs should be sold at a reasonable price.

Anti EPA or environmental concerns. Clean water and air YES, trillions for climate change NO.

Anti gay trans. Not pro or anti. Govt has no business here.

Pro Russia and Putin. No. But not our Hemisphere, not our problem.

Anti China. No, but trade should benefit both parties.

Anti Tax. Yes.

Anti immigration. Yes

Anti international involvement. Hell Yes

Pro closed borders. Yes.

Anti College education. No. But pay your own bill. The lady that checks me out at Walmart should not pay for my college.

Pro Israel. Yes

Anti minority (sorry but obviously true). No. Treat all equally.

Sometimes anti big business sometimes pro big business. Govt stay out of business don’t pick winners and losers.

Anti government. Hell Yes.

The Founders would flip in their graves if the government actually incorporated Scripture as policy.

Your list is pretty close to the collective sentiment.

From a feminist perspective, yes.
