Don't know, but there are less than 10 big media companies that own almost every media company, and every big one. They all have a Joo for CEO.
If I was to guess, I would say to prolong the war giving more US dollars to the MIC. Gaza is 25 miles long and 4-7 miles wide. The amount of firepower they had could have turned it all to sand and gravel in a week.
