I’ve read that most of the fires are intentional, these are people burning down the forest for development and slash and burn farming. Fires are up 80% from last year. This is a man made disaster and Brazil needs to get this shite together and put a stop to it.

Here’s a map of all the fires going on

no shocker here but people have been blowing up social media to donate to stop the fires... not sure if they offer the money up to the fire gods so they call the fire off or what

That’s a lot of carbon exposure. Gotta send our green deal hero AOC and she’ll have the answers. I’ll sit back and wait.

I’m against them. j/k

It’s bad but the oxygen piece might be a bit overstated. The vast majority of the Earths oxygen comes from oceans.

But the blue check libtards posting fire pics from years ago has gotten so bad that Mother Jones asked them to knock it off. That’s bad.

Maybe a result of idiotic environmentalist anti-logging laws of the kind that have made U.S. forest lands into tinder boxes.

queen airhead has been conspicuously absent since she fired her Justice Democrats’ chief of staff. Seems she no longer has her mouthpiece telling her what to say

When Notre Dame was burning the world stopped. Billionaires and politicians emptied their pockets to help rebuild. Meanwhile the amazon has been burning for three weeks. The difference is, we don't get to build a new earth. When it's gone, it's gone.

That’s a big loss for biodiversity. Biodiversity yields natural cures, among other things.

It’s not our problem technically, but it’s not s good thing for humanity in the long run.
