Depends on the exchange. If it’s “limited” then military bases, icbm silos and power plants will be the first to get nuked. If it’s an all out exchange, (use em or lose em) which is the most likely, Satan Missiles which carry a single 8mt warhead or 10 750kt will be used on our top 30-50 populated cities. Towns over 100k will be hit, state capitals, oil refineries and storage yards, major bridges and even the dinky airport near you will get hit. All will happen after a few EMP nukes are detonated high in the atmosphere. All power will be knocked out to create pre-strike chaos.
This sounds like fun

Was looking to see how many nukes are stationed at barksdale.
Surely these are just referencing transportation devices and there aren't really 500+ actual nukes?

Khrushchev wanted missiles in Cuba so he could take out New Iberia.

The first strike will be a couple of EMP's followed by the big stuff.

Oh great the coal power plant in Juliette that I can see from the highest point on my land is a target.
Guess I’ll just go up there and watch it fall. That’s what I did in the dream I had about this a few weeks ago anyways. That’s really freaking me out now.

If it’s not, it should be.
Same with New Orleans, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, DC, Atlanta, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Portland.
The US would suddenly become more pro-American, Conservative and just better.

No. I’m quite okay with that map you posted.
But the other one has my city being hit no matter how small or large the exchange is.

Well if russias missile guidance GPS is anything close to what walmart gives their delivery drivers, we are safe, Russia will be blowing up their own backyard.

The first strike targets will be chosen to reduce the possibility of launching s retaliatory strike. First priority is communication with submarines, and military command and control infrastructure.

lol. Upon their missiles being launched, we take every one of their delivery components out in the airspace directly above their launch site.
