Actually its because they use more cost effective weapons than us. One US cruise missile is worth 100+ drones of theirs.
Nothing short of a nuke will stop them, which is politically impossible.

war with Iran is not going to be a cakewalk. also you won't be fighting just Iran but multiple Shiite militias and other offshoot Bedouin bandits.

Israel does not need the US to destroy Iran. Iran could not even handle Iraq.
