Totally agree. He needs an Oval Office address that tells sane people - I am on your side. Not a campaign rally. A message tailored to rioters- “you are unamerican.”

There also need to be mass arrests of Antifa, who should be investigated tried as terrorists.

And additionally mass arrests of anyone destroying public property and painting shite like “kill whitely” on it, and beating the shite out of random white people on YouTube. If a garage door pull merits a federal investigation as a hate crime, I say painting Kill Whitey on a public monument needs the same treatment. Investigated and tried for hate crimes.

I agree, and it's his worst format. He thrives off the energy of the crowds. But I do think he needs to have a rally-esque environment where he gives a more SOTU-type speech.

The problem IMO:

A) Trump isn't good at fighting battles where he's not the true enemy. The fight is bigger than him, even if he sparked it. These pseudo-revolutionaries are so far to the left that Trump isn't a significant concern for them, and he's thus left without an enemy. Trump as a warrior is only useful when he's conflated with America. When people consider him an afterthought, his vanity isn't at issue, and he's not as useful.

B) Some sort of unifying rallying defense of American foundational values isn't something Trump can likely do very credibly.

In this politically charged environment, that would be like the crazy train going off the rails.

Trump signed and EO limiting all immigration Monday and has the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and their GOP salesmen in congress all pissed off.

Trump was literally at the border yesterday checking on the progress of the wall.

On infrastructure he talks about wanting to do a deal with congress ALL THE TIME. He also announced dozens of infrastructure projects throughout the nation where money is already appropriated for each state via twitter the past week. Look it up.
