That's what we should have told the progs, while refusing to take down the statues.

I mean- what's more woke than 20-something unemployed, father-hating vermin destroying public property?

What did it accomplish?
I already know the answer. Peoples feeeeeelings were good for about 30 seconds. Literal pieces of shite.

This response should shut that dickhole up for a while.

I was wrong...
Oh I don't know... maybe teach something about historical events and people?
The people wanting to tear down the statues probably don't do very well in school. They could use a little learning.

why don't you answer his question? Or do you prefer to engage in the loser's technique of answering direct questions with diversionary questions?

quote:The answer I'm about to give is ONLY in relation to any statues/memorials that were moved after going through an actual municipal process (i.e. they were ultimately voted to be removed and/or elected officials with the legitimate power to make such a decision decided to do so.) I am NOT condoning acts of vandalism.
why don't you answer his question?
Removing them accomplished the potential civic good of taking away public tributes to characters and events that did not deserve public tribute, and for which said tributes were not appropriate, particularly vis a vis certain members of the communities in which the statues were located.
And for the further avoidance of doubt, my preferred "solution" to the statue issue was to put additional plaques/statues/memorials in place (side by side) to the existing ones - e.g. basically explaining why Lee was in Lee's circle. However, if municipalities voted to remove certain statues, that doesn't bother me at all.

Not sure. But they taught us something about the racists that took them down.

The Statue of Liberty was erected by white supremacists, can we tear that one down too?

I’m asking what you would support given your stance and laser like focus on white nationalist erections.
