This, raise them right and you won't have to worry. My daughter finished undergrad even more convinced the left is the problem. Fortunately she attended a University that isn't very liberal at all and the SJW scene was very small.

Have these complaints reviewed and investigated by a bipartisan review board which will have the ability to reduce or cut federal funding to universities.
One problem. How can you assure the reviewers will remain unbiased? What happens when the board is infiltrated by rabid bolshevik sympathizers that’re common to academia? Who will get to decide what’s biased and what’s not and how will they discipline the individual?
Kind of like the “fact-checkers” who claim Trump’s statement is false when he says something happened 20 years ago when it was really 19.

They need to be eliminated. If half of your classes are in the humanities building, then your major doesn’t need to exist.

If conservatives are ever going to fix that mistake, they must go after big academia and make government backed student loans illegal and force students to either pay for tuition themselves, or convince a business/bank to pay for their degree that has a guarantee they will be used in a specific work environment or get an athletic scholarship.
Gov't should never backstop college education. That's the problem.

Universities are the source. One doesnt even need to attend one to get highly educated. We need to eliminate elective requirements. They are only there to fleece money out of students. Why does the University of Alabama have a Chief Diversity Officer...with probably several underlings making good $$$? They have a bloated budget and are bankrolling useless leftists to teach dumb subjects

Texas high schools have for the past five years been increasingly embracing career technical education as a viable alternative to college prep.
This can be a great thing if "technical education" is really vocational education, meaning it includes the trades.

Some careers you need it. Good luck getting a job in architecture, engineering, vet med, etc. without a degree. However, every single damn fill in the blank hyphen studies class, program, and degree in every university in the country should be eliminated. At the very least call them what they are, Political Indoctrination Studies.

athletic scholarship
we're close to needing to cut this too.
My grandparents couldn't afford to assist my parents with college. My parents could afford to help my younger brother with college. I will be able to assist my 3 kids with college. See how generationally my family has changed?
People cry about not all poor people can afford a college education. Newsflash, middle class struggles too. We can either cry about it, or change it one generation at a time. But has to start somewhere not named the federal government.

Education is for the stupid.

Most of the posters in this thread affiliate with a certain university.
That's an astute observation for a board that was founded for a specific school. It's crazy how so many of the people on tigerdroppings are LSU fans. It's like being able to recognize that most of the people on Democratic Underground affiliate with democrats.

Wouldn't it be great if institutions of higher learning's primary focus was on teaching transferable skills to seek gainful employment.
I know it's crazy talk, but I may be onto something.

The government needs to examine what jobs are most needed and only provide loans for degrees that can fill those positions. We need a lot of STEM jobs, so loans for those degrees will be readily available. We don't need many gender studies degrees, so those loans will be extremely rare. If you change your major to an unneeded field, you lose your loan. The top students get the loans. The rest have to pay their own way.

Not just for glorified propaganda/conditioning mills, the most effective way to remedy anything seen as compromising, undermining, counter-cultural, or in any way threatens the peace, tranquility, even the survival of the Republic will always be to cut the money off.
