My dad is a bleeding liberal. .
I am a libertarian and have both liberal and conservative views.
But he is an old school liberal and hates the new blood in the party. We get along fine. We disagree on many issues but we still love each other first.
I can't imagine losing a family member over fricking politics. It is ridiculous and THAT borders psychosis and mental disability. It goes against nature and any form of critical thinking. Sounds like 1984.

You can't just silence the press. As much as we push protecting our rights, "journalists" and I use that term very loosely, have rights as well. As they should and they should be protected.

Well yes and no. If they were real journalist working for a real news outlet we could shut them up by not consuming their product. But with these propaganda peddlers their ratings don’t matter because their funding is going to be there no matter what. They’re not there to produce facts or results they’re paid to repeat what their paymasters tell them to. They’re not the press as we define it.

It's because conservatives think liberals are stupid
Liberals think conservatives are evil
So when my uncle, a huge lib, is told by my mom that I am a conservative Trump supporter, he views me as an evil being.

Lmao yea it’s my fault you guys have fallen off your rocker. One of the hallmarks of that party, never take responsibility ever, it’s always someone else’s fault. As far as the policies you’re quoting, how could a border be enforced with those in place and added to the refusal to enforce the laws you mentioned? Lying and changing the title of something doesn’t change the substance, those policies are open border policies.

I think demographically that’s about right but when you consider the cult indoctrinated populations and how big they are I don’t believe it’s that evenly divided. I do think if you took the moderates from both sides and placed them with the far right you’d have a pretty harmonious place. The only group that can’t mix with others, because they refuse to, is the alt left. The problem is they’re a bigger group who’ve hijacked and are destroying the democrat party.

I advocate a peaceful separation between liberals and conservatives. Make the Mississippi river the border. Flip a coin and either head west or east. Then they can have all the late term abortions trannies welfare and illegals they want and we can keep our guns jobs and Bibles

This is the blindness of one eye being blind to the vision of the other eye. As a old fart raised in the Republican Party of Teddy Roosevelt and the Democratic Party of Franklin Roosevelt I can assure with age and wisdom that starting and the end of the second oil crisis of the late 70's NEITHER party has held to their core beliefs of their parties. Greed and blame have replaced cooperation and problem solving of that earlier age.
Working both sides of the aisle in that age you fought hard for your points but often met for drinks after in a more relaxed atmosphere. This often led to decisions taking parts of both sides to craft legislation that actually benefitted average hard working tax paying citizens. Sure we had problems and graft existed in both parties but they still got things done over the current bickering and blame.
Like the parable of the blind men and the elephant, I have far left friends who accuse me of being a Republican, and far right friends who accuse me of being a Democrat. Just like those blind men, they are partially right, but totally wrong!
I am shocked more folks identify as Christian who have no damn idea what that actually entails. I suggest such folks apply Matthew 7:1-5 and take that (far left / far right - choose one) log out of your own eye before removing the (far left / far right - chose the opposite one) speck out of your brothers eye.
