lol DeSantis couldn’t do anything with this Congress. They’d politely tell him to frick off.
He wouldnt alienate his party members like Trump has.
They alienate themselves.
Alienate means to isolate. The fact that politicians isolate themselves should be a communication signal that maybe they are not representing their constituents properly.

And Donny has already created a mess.
I imagine his Tariff policy will become final in 2028, as he walks out the door.

Tariffs are executive action. Presidents can change them. They are not final in the sense they need congressional action to change.

DeSantis is a Deepstate Cuck

Thats not how many see this happening. Donny is the Paul Mainieri of politics. Throws everyone under the bus and never takes any responsibility.

Then tell us who could beat Vance or Rubio from the Dems? You really think the Dems will win by pushing AOC? America will reject that real quick. I don’t think a lot of you realize how much America has rejected the democrats platform since Biden and the election. They also will never again steal an election because Covid helped with that. They have literally used all of their tricks to take down Trump and it didn’t work. I have confidence that we will be fine in 4 years. These kids who are coming into voting age are some of the ones who were affected most by Covid and they know it was all bullshite.

No one can stop the entrenched establishment at this point. Just protect you and yours and that is about all you can do.
And that’s the reality of the matter; the best we can hope for is to stymie the collapse of the constitutional republic, and Trump is as good as anyone for that job, probably the best.

And the current rollout is pathetic, congress isnt to blame. Trump is and its solely on him.

Like how you said he was crashing the economy

Roger didn’t vote so it’s not like losing or not having his vote will hurt. It’s the same clowns that haven’t been right in the last few years crying for Ron.

He may have had he not folded like Origami. Good thing he's not principled and honest.

Maybe so. Too bad he scrapped everything that made him successful in Florida and became a stiff suit some DC campaign directors said he should be and his campaign face planted.

I'm just saying Trump (or any POTUS in his second term) doesn't have a ton of leeway if he doesn't want an opposite-party POTUS after he's gone.
This is part of the conundrum IMO. I think it's a tough call, for example, on trade -
- The huge wins Trump sells and wants - major rebalancing, onshoring industry, etc. - aren't going to happy in 3.5 years, or at least not in a way that changes America's outlook beyond the very near future.
- I don't blame Presidents for beginning the work and just hoping it continues by subsequent leaders, but Trump is in his second term and knows that he in particular will likely face a complete rejection of his agenda by a D president in the future.
- So it raises the question of how to balance those realities, and whether the short term progress (minor Ws in trade deals, introducing tariffs as a reality for future negotiations, etc.) are worth it if it means you're using a couple years of a 4 term on that.

I don't know if you're watching whats going on and what it means for the government and economy going forward, but unless Trump changes course he is sinking us in 2028. And its going to be a far left ticket on the other side in all likelihood.
I think the BBB is a steaming pile of smoke and mirrors and that he and the GOP in Congress need to put their collective feet down and cut actual spending in their next budget (not just the growth).
Even with all that, we aren't sinking. Don't get me wrong, a recession is coming but it was always going to happen and whoever won in November was going to have to face it (I even posted why, well before the election). Along with that, it's very likely that the recession will pop the consumer credit bubble thus making things far worse.
All that said, currently the average of all the polls of Trump's approval numbers is actually a little higher than it was during the same timeframe of his first term. Jobs are still being created, inflation is going down, consumer sentiment is up (or at least holding steady) and he's pushing hard on getting energy costs down (not just O&G but clearing out a lot of hurdles for more nuclear as well).
When the recession comes (and it will, but it won't be the fault of Trump even though he'll get the blame), things may look different, but right now this is simply not the case.

If he lied more and promised free shite like Donny, he would do better.

I agree, but I'm pricing that in already for 2028.
The positive spin is that he is at least pro-growth. There is a chance its a shorter recession and we come out of it roaring.
Also I think Vance is the clear front runner and he is building his own "brand" moreso than many VPs do, so he has a real chance to be able to separate himself from the bad Trump policies while showing his involvement in the good ones. His issue will be whether or not he can distance himself from the negatives without turning Trump against him.
