The interdependencies between the powerful nations in today's globalized world as well as technological advancements thankfully lessen risk of the US fully entrenching themselves in a violently bloody war with the scale or nature of WWII.
Instead we live in an age of perpetual micro-battles.
This includes attempts from countries to manipulate one another through cyber attacks, tech enabled espionage, and more "silent" means that we're probably unaware of. This also includes the damage control type of wars in unstable regions that we've become accustomed to.
History will repeat itself. No doubt about it. I just think it'll be on a different kind of battlefield and there's much less of an appetite for sending our young people (and tgroughout the western world) to war than ever before.

My theory: AI and quantum computing will be the end of man and the beginning of what comes after.
I also agree when a threshold is met we won't even know it happened and evolution will take place at light speed then moving into God speed at the flick of a light switch.

Saw nothing wrong with what I read. He didn't bash Trump or anyone. He just spoke about things that are happening and was bot wrong about any of those things.
But the sensational views are another thing altogether. He leaps off the deep end into the abyss of catastrophism (made that up). Yes, economies are weak worldwide; yes the global economy isn't strong; yes America is the safest bet; yet the dollar has strengthened due to most all major central banks lowering their value of currency; yet it is all a smorgasbord; but to say a Major WWIII will break out is ridiculous.
