Venezuelans are among the most nationalist people on earth, They were also the richest country in South American history. Seven million have left, most leaving behind all their homes and material goods. They have a life to return to and they remember it much fonder than living in Colombia or Chile or Peru etc, So yes, I'm telling you if it sparks, and the socialistas are on the run, there will be a gigantic influx of Venezolanos returning to take back what is theirs.
Whatever it takes, that has plausible deniability, and doesn't involve boots on the ground, I'm in favor of.

What seems crazy to me is how some of you have not only skipped over the many steps and complex process involved in such a thing, but went right straight to a foregone conclusion that a dismally failed regime change effort is in store for us. And apparently there must be something badly wrong with anyone who doesn’t agree with this prognostication. Does that scenario seem rational or reasonable at all? It appears to me to be wishcasting, in some strange sense.
