That's not even the issue at hand, merely the request for investigation. It's pretty simple: the issue is whether he had corrupt intent, i.e. whether he unambiguously sought personal gain via opposition research to benefit his 2020 campaign.

It's pretty difficult to formulate exactly what evidence could possibly prove what was in Trump's mind. His words certainly didn't include anything about political research, dirt, etc.

Yes, I agree wholeheartedly. The 2020 elections will reveal so very much WRT this progress of US history towards its culmination in which it ends up as a Leftist Globalist subjugate Staat to a larger World "Govt" or "Cabal".

IMHO, the Democrats are at a crossroads. My guess is that they see the US electorate right now as adequately prepared by Indoctrination to accept and follow more "revolutionary" Democrat attempts to seize power. This soft coup is an example of that -- it was executed and it did help the Dems seize political power in the House. This was very successful propaganda/indoctrination campaign in Dem eyes, so, this campaign continues on into 2020 with "Impeachment."

The Dem Gambit is to risk political backlash ("whitelash", if you will) and perhaps sacrifice some House seats in Red States in exchange for "the enemy's Queen" i.e. the White House, for either Biden or Hillary, in 2020.

Why are they throwing the dice on this risky bet? Because they literally have no choice. If they do not make this revolutionary move now, Trump will be re-elected easily.

That's why when the US electorate was propagandized into voting the Dems back into the House, they were voting for two things: 1) absolutely no legislation being passed that would actually address our problems; and 2) endless official US Govt investigation, spying on and subversion of the POTUS.

Dems know this: the US electorate was fooled into voting Dems back into the house. The ruse worked perfectly. AS SUCH, Dems are "staying on the Craps table and making an even more large bet" in 2020, using the same Info War techniques.

The Dems believe that the US electorate has been adequately prepared by Indoctrination and Propaganda to accept a Transformed USA and to accept the kinds of leaders that will keep us Transformed. Short summary: Dems know that the US electorate is stupid, ignorant and can be manipulated by information techniques.
