This is the problem with the current state we're in as a country. There's no clear threshold for when things will reopen, and some of the governors are making really concerning statements about preventing every single death or "eradicating" the virus. Those things aren't possible unless we're shutdown for the next year.

They’re trying to leave themselves wiggle room. However, the problem is, that can be easily abused. And that’s when real trouble starts.

Here comes Inslee claiming that the 2nd Amendment isn't essential and that gun stores staying open "aren't on the right team".

So when will DeWine-Acton raise? Ohio is 5/4 too. What say you Mike and Amy?

There actually is, but most people can’t come to terms with it. Things will open back up after herd immunity is reached either through slow drawn out controlled infections to achieve herd immunity or when a vaccine is ready and you can achieve herd immunity. That’s the only way this “Distancing” ends.

That’s so fricking dumb. It’s to one up Trump? What is an extra 4 days going to do.

Things can open up whenever.

You’re just so partisan that you’re stuck. The idea behind this is to make sure that there’s hospital capacity. If there’s hospital capacity to handle the height of the infection, then open it up. Pretty simple.

No lives are being saved by sheltering in place other than the ones who would’ve lived with the system not overwhelmed.

ETA: the move by the governor of Washington isn’t data based. Just so we’re clear.

"Insleeing" = about 3 steps below "Schiffing" in terms of being a dumbass.

The social distancing may last that long, but that's different than the shutdowns which cannot last much longer than early May.

Another fricking lie. He's lauding physical therapists yet his order requires 2/3 of physical and occupational therapists not to work, including my wife.

He's claiming that models show at least 1,000 deaths in Washington. Seems pretty far fetched given the rate of deaths.

He's also claiming that the 627th is currently setting up hospitals. They've been complete for 3 days now.

By August. Sure. The peak projections (which are pretty flimsy) have their peak deaths per day at 22. They are projected to come in under their available hospital beds and right at their ICU beds “available” (many more are actually available because “no one” is going to the hospital right now).

ETA: they’ve asked the Feds for more than double the total vents they’re projected to need. It’s a bunch of faggy nonsense. And the media breathlessly reports it without questioning it at all.

Edited again: they’ve asked for approx 6X extra the number they’re projected to need.

Who would you prefer as Governor?

Joshua Freed (Former Bothel Mayor)

or

Tim Eyman (The man behind two bills that were overwhelmingly voted on and pissed off the Seattle communists)

I will vote for anyone over Inslee
