If you come upon a river would you swim across it?
Now come upon that same river and there's a sign stating PIRANHAS. do you still swim it?
Now change that river to a neighborhood....
Where's the common sense on the West Coast?

So they passed a law so they could distribute the big city sex offenders to small towns and suburbs. Now they want this law so people won't know what they are doing.

Then the government won’t know what happened to these people when they disappear then, right?

Nah, using alters is a hanging offense at TD.

I’m a Probation and Parole Officer who specializes in sex offenders. This needs to happen practically everywhere. The rules have become so cumbersome that it has created a massive population of sex offenders that are homeless and thus far more difficult to supervise and monitor. It’s gotten to the point of being out of control.
Restrictions Ned to be evidence based not just knee jerk reactions. A great example is the 1000’ school bus stop rule. 1000’ is unacceptable but 1001’ is just fine. Well, that’s stupid.
We also should not lump all sex offenders together and call them a pedophile. There are a lot of sub categories that need to be made with registration. Possession of CP on the internet is disgusting but it’s not the same as molesting a child. Neither is raping an adult.
It’s a confusing mess as it is now.

Is a Registry an end-unto-itself, or is it a tool for reducing recidivism? Sex Offender Registries basically did not exist 30 years ago. We now have three decades of data to evaluate whether they are effective or instead counterproductive (as Washington seems to think). If you see a Registry in a vacuum as simply additional punishment, that is not entirely unreasonable. But if your goal is to see less sexual assault, is it not reasonable to conduct that evaluation and to act accordingly -- whether by increasing or scaling-back registries, depending upon what is dictated by the data?
New user name, same fake lawyer that thinks the mccloskeys destroyed their own gate and rittenhouse committed murder, and vigorously defends the sexualization of children.

I think he's too smart to incur the wrath of the Mods by spitting in their face and using an alter like that.....

Well looks like all the rapists and kiddie diddlers will be packing up and moving to Washington.
Good riddance.

You're 100% on the sex offender list.
Only pedophiles would defend pedophiles.

In effort to avoid a civil war we should just give the commies California Oregon and Washington and I’ll even throw in Hawaii since they’ve destroyed it anyway. Live there and leave us alone

Lemme know when an L3 moves next door to your family and your teenage son/daughter and you have no way of knowing about it. There's your data

How many notifications of sex offenders have you received ever? I used to live in the kind of neighborhood were I got em all the time. Most were for for guys who got convicted of hiring a prostitute. Most as in overwhelming majority. I just started throwing them into the trash eventually.
