No. They don't. 20K write in votes should send a pretty clear message.

You guys seem to think the write-in votes would have gone to Roy. If you gave those people an ultimatum, they probably would not have voted at all.

I don't think they wasted their time, since they made the Roy supporters melt.

In Baldwin (gulf shores, fairhope, all points in between) there was a mill tax renewal.
Passed 60/40.

Essentially 22k people told the Republican party that they would have voted for them if they nominated a good candidate, but they won't vote for them just because they have the R next to their name.

And that is why the Republican party fails so often because they attempt to take the moral high ground. Democrats on the other hand, lockstep in the way they vote no matter the issue.

Jesus Christ, partisan politic fans are so deluded.

The 22K write ins were people who believe in the democratic process. They exercised their rights, and told everyone, "I'm not voting for that POS."

And it's hilarious how many of you out of staters know what a "fine man" roy moore is. The guy is a crazy nutjob even if you want to deny his love of teen girls. I grew up in Etowah County. He's an arse. AND a dumb arse.
