A friend from high school/with her husband, bought a second home in Shenandoah in 2022. They've had it for sale for 18 months with barely a nibble.

Biggest thing STG can do is do everything and anything in its power to be extremely tough on crime.

I understand that we have the EBRSO as our police, but doing all we can to get them to prioritize and police this area with an iron fist will be the biggest impacter.

Also, do all you can to disincentivize builders from building apartments. That will ruin demographics and bring crime.

Take note of how Gretna PD handles business.

as for the apartments several "subsidy" apt complexes are already in existense and are indeed problem areas.. not just for crime but for putting their garbage of the back of their car and letting it roll off at the nearest curve(when their dumpsters are full).

I hope you are looking up from the pits of hell you decrepit pile of shite MOP. frick you. I’m still ecstatic that you lived long enough to see St. George become a reality.

Also, frick you Richard, you fricking dick. fricking douchebag. I told you St. George was going to happen and your arrogant arse said it never would… now look at you. Came running to St. George to be the new headquarters of Lipseys like the little bitch you always have been.

Politicians with good intentions turn quickly to greed. It is inevitable. There will be compromises that make no sense because of the Louisiana heavily ingrained “I’ll scratch your back if you scratch mine”.

I am convinced an emperor or dictatorship is the only path to rid us of all the freeloaders, criminal violence, and greedy politicians.

There is a road map to keep a city/town/community from turning to shite. It's very simple, yet few follow it:

1. Tough on crime
2. Zero/few apartments
3. Strict zoning and permit application process
4. Discourage certain businesses
5. High level of public services and maintenance

In summary, make the place attractive for the ones you want to live there and unattractive for the ones you don't

Until STG gets its own school district, nothing has really changed. That was the entire reason for forming STG

EBR schools are combating this one much more than they did in the past.

So you are griping that even though it’s better now you believe it is going to get worse years from now?

You need to think about what you are saying.

You need to read what I wrote. I fear that by 2040 STG will have a minority Republican population. I don't have the official demographics, but by observance, I see a lot of people who wish to escape the ratchet culture, moving into STG.

It would be nice to have a political discussion on TD without posters degrading each other, just respectful different points of view, no name calling, no "R" or "N" words.

So you get a home through capitalism but no one else can?

You’ve obviously never lived in an area that was desirable enough for masses of people to move in and apartments to pop up. Good for you, I guess.
