Well, you won't have to worry about Trump advocating to go back to that.

One of the biggest lies the media has successfully fed is that Trump is anti gay anything.

Setting the stage for pedophilia. That’s the end game.

Of course he won't. He's a lifetime New Yorker, he's been around gay people all his life. He works with gay people like Peter Thiel. It doesn't bother him. He hasn't done anything against gay marriage, nor have the judges he's appointed to the federal courts.

Mick, a few bumper stickers about the above quote does not equate to the RABID demand that the far left whackos have advocated and gotten their way with about the term "Christmas."

That "phenomena" as you say, was a tiny whimper of protest and amounted to nothing. Surely you know that, or either you are being intentionally obtuse or are intellectually dishonest.

I'm being 100%, I don't remember a huge fight about getting the term "Christmas" out of schools or whatever. If there was, I missed it and I'll take y'all's word for it. I remember it was people overreacting to the term "happy holidays" as if all those that used it were intentionally trying to keep references of Christ out of it (which I don't believe is always the case).

100 years ago the age of consent was lower and homosexuality was a literal crime

It’s amazing that although history clearly shows over time we’ve become MORE accepting of gays and LESS accepting of adults fricking minors that morons will still present the two are in cahoots.

And it’s hilarious that a decades long uphill battle is somehow in a slippery slope.

As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.

Although it can be useful to think in terms of a slippery slope, it is really a logical fallacy. It suggests a cause and effect where none exists. There is always going to be a line drawn somewhere on a variety of issues and those who urge a slippery slope are often attempting to deflect. For example, the real gun control questions are how much and which restrictions? We have plenty of restrictions now so you could favor fewer or different restrictions. The Brady Bill was not a slippery slope to more restrictions--indeed, it was allowed to lapse--but that move was not a slippery slope to no restrictions as plenty of restrictions remained in force (e.g., no full autos) and again today, a large number of Americans want more restrictions. Here is something I recall reading that captures the essence of it: all difficult policy decisions are made on a "slippery slope."

"Do any of those things really impact you or your family?"

No, but I am not, say, a devout Christian baker. Regrettably, the gay rights movement has shed "live and let live" as a guiding principle.

I’m not a fan of cities stepping in but if you want to bring politics into your business you better be good enough to weather the backlash.

Chick-fil-a is

Most bakeries are not

Uhhh....Yeah! It’s why I frequently refer to the Dim party as the Slippery Slope party.

You sound like someone who advocates for small government, as a conserative, but you want your government to espouse religions values, as long as it's your religion.
I would like all people to recognize that Jesus is Lord, because He is, not because it's simply a pet belief of mine.

Yes, I'd like all people and governments to espouse a Christian-based worldview because I believe any other is ultimately destructive. This doesn't mean I want the government forcing people to believe anything in particular or dictating what the Church is to believe.

quote:

You don't think our government should allow gays to marry, because your religion frowns upon.
There are a few different reasons why I don't think our government should allow this, but yes, one reason is that it's an offense to God to promote the violation of His natural order in creation.

quote:

Yet, I imagine if anyone ever suggested that Islam influence our laws, that you would lose your mind.
Why wouldn't I? I believe that Islam is destructive to society because it rejects the truth of God, accepts a lie, and promotes practices that are contrary to the moral law of God that is written on the hearts of mankind.

Again, I'm not saying the government has to force people to believe in Jesus (it can't and shouldn't), but it should recognize the authority of Christ as Lord and seek to promote wholesomeness and goodness, not sexual perversion.

I am referring to when the baker was compelled by the state to create a cake for a gay wedding. I have no problem with the commercial realities you reference.

And many Muslims thinks the same way about Christianity.

Which is why it's best that we leave both of them, out of our government.

You're saying laws of the government should exactly mirror the laws of your religious beliefs?

I guess if their kids don’t attend public school, use the public library, use public restrooms, etc.?
