Was Biden just used as a placeholder to beat Bernie?

The more and more Biden embarrasses himself and is clearly senile, the more I believe this. Biden had the name recognition and following in urban communities to pull ahead of Bernie. The rest of the field was incredibly weak. Let Biden beat Bernie, take the brunt of Trump’s attention until summer, swap him with someone like Hillary or Cuomo in June or July. Doesn’t really seem that improbable to me.

I’m not sure why the establishment left is so against the Bern...they all embrace his socialist policies very tightly. Maybe cause the Bern is open about it and the establishment left is trying to sneak it in on us.

Tucker had a good point the other night: Biden is just an empty vessel that can be controlled by the Dem power brokers. Biden will do whatever the hell he is told to by the Democratic establishment and their supporters. They couldn't control Bernie

I swear anyone who thinks Biden is a grade A fricking moron. He's a puppet they will fill his cabinet with deepest of state people his VP pick will be a yes woman. You will barely see Biden the 4 years and when you do it will be a pre recorded message. The deep state will own the presidentcy with no one to answer to because Biden is senile. He just wants the glory then after his first term his VP will run in his place.

I really thought all along that they were going to let the socialists scare the shite out of the rest of the party then (Like what happened) creepy Joe starts to look like a sane option. Then as things progressed I saw that creepy Joe's mental state on showcase is only to make people forget Hillary is a lying criminal kunt and Status Que Washington scumbag so she'll arrive just in time to save the party and America..

Cuomo wasn't even on the radar when election season began and Creepy Uncle Joe didn't seem nearly as dementia-addled (because he had stayed out of the public spotlight, which would end up becoming an increasing theme for him as his candidacy gained momentum). It's a very telling tale when your popularity rises because your own campaign limits your public exposure (as we saw with Joe in the Fall).
Not only that but Bernie was beating everyone at the onset. If they were wanting to push someone to beat Bernie they wouldn't have put up someone who had never won a single primary despite having run for the candidacy multiple times.
This doesn't mean there couldn't be a swap at the convention, there absolutely could (and probably should). What it does mean though is that this wasn't some long-running Littlefinger type of plan from the beginning.
