LINK

I don't know how to not post a blind link, but it's a local news source article that concerns Alabama's "Stay at Home" order. Read what the police say about kids throwing a football around.

WTF? People have lost their damn minds.

quote:

I had to do something that just about killed me. Yesterday, we had some local athletes just throwing a football around on a local field. We got out with them and learned they are just trying to stay in shape and keep their skills up. I told them I appreciate what they were trying to do. They were trying to be productive. They weren’t out trying to get into trouble. I support them 100 percent, but under the circumstances something as simple as throwing a football around could be transferring the disease. Having to tell kids that are trying to be productive that they cannot throw a football was not fun.

You give Police a millimeter, they're going to take 10000 miles. They can't help themselves. Power is a terrible aphrodisiac if not kept under a microscope.

How many athletes were playing football?

How close were they to each other?

Are they going home to families? Extended families?

So far, I don’t have enough info to make my blood boil. In fact, this may have been a smart move.

Yep. Those that claim cops won't try to take your guns if/when it comes to that are sadly mistaken.

They'll bring in the swat team.

Guess these officers didn't get the memo :

Football players in Alabama are exempt from arrest and prosecution They are out there sweating while the rest of us sit around in the air conditioning.

This was posted by a small town police chief on Facebook regarding a parish wide curfew going into effect. He was giddy. Mind you, police chief:

“The way I see, if you have a legitimate reason for being out after hours, it should not pose a problem being stopped”.

By the report... they were tossing the football around. Not playing football. Throwing a football.

But I guess one of them could have the virus, not know it, catch the football after having picked his nose, rub virus germs all over the football and then thrown it to another guy who then catches the football, getting the virus germs on his hands which he then licks to get a better grip on the football.

My son still goes out with his QB trainer to practice, still practices kicks and punts as well. We’re in MS though.

The virus is extremely contagious so, yes, that is a real possibility. That possibility could be mitigated if they would refrain from sticking their fingers in their noses, mouths, and eyes, and could be further mitigated if they would wash their hands.

But a lot of people don’t do such things.

Yep. It’s fricking frightening. I got away from politics for awhile, but all this authoritarian BS has got me interested again.
