In the summer, 10,000–20,000 elk spend time in Yellowstone.
I live in Wyoming 6 months out of the year. Your numbers are stupid. Got a legitimate link? What exactly do you think wolves eat? You absolutely know nothing about them. There were good reasons they were trapped and hunted to near extinction. Wolves will kill for fun, Kill an animal for a single meal leaving the rest to rot.
Wolves slaughter elk near Bondurant
Each adult wolf kills 22 elk a year

Depopulating the Moose and Elk herds is not healing nature airhead.

Hey airhead, that little diatribe is fiction. I know you leftards can't distinguish truth from fiction. Exactly why you should self deport and improve the average IQ level in the country. Cuba maybe.

How so? Did we not release wolves into Yellowstone and then see the environments change from adding them back?

Or people could just hunt the deer and eat them

The last wolf was killed in Scotland in 1680. There hasn’t been any climate/environmental issues since, so why now? $$$$

It says you should get a free trip to Scotland to help with deer population control!

One of the creepiest things you will ever experience in your life is going into a European forest really deep to only find silence.

What a fool. No we did not see the environment improve.. The writer of your moron story is just another wolf freak and he has plenty of morons out there to write for. The environment did change but not for the better.

At least they are acknowledging trees as beneficial again. Smart man Gates would have you think otherwise.

Idiot yes wolves were released into Yellowstone, yes the environment changed but did not improve and the diversity of wildlife there was severely reduced. So there was no improvement. In fact Wolves are wreaking havoc on Elk and moose herds all over the state.

They should try those new Dire Wolves.
Posted on 4/8/25 at 11:50 am to TrueTiger
Why can't they find animals that are good to eat for de extinction instead of animals that compete against us for food?
Posted on 4/8/25 at 11:53 am to RedHog260
I thought they were working on the wooly mammoth.
Posted on 4/8/25 at 12:18 pm to TrueTiger
Wonder if they are good to eat?
Posted on 4/8/25 at 12:20 pm to djmed
Or they could just encourage hunting
Posted on 4/8/25 at 12:23 pm to djmed
Releasing large numbers of siberian tigers on Ivy League campuses would help alleviate the crisis of highly educated stupidity infecting western civilization the past several decades.

Just go to any hunting camp in Louisiana or Mississippi and round up the old boys there and tell them they can go shoot all the deer they can find. No season, no limits. That herd will be thinned in no time.

Are there any other factors/problems that could be contributing to the declining moose population, or is it exclusively the wolves?

Releasing wolves into the wild in the Scottish Highlands could help alleviate the climate crisis and reach Net Zero, experts say.
