Nope, the bonuses are attached to your service commitment, you don't finish the time you signed up for then they'll either not pay you the rest of your bonus and/or recoup what was paid (for those that take the lump sum option).

Is t it also 1/2 on AIT completion and the other half annual over the remainder of the contract.

Now RE-enlistment bonuses are lump sum and you can usually re-up while deployed to some shitty locale so you pay no taxes if you play your cards right.

5 generations of my family served including grandson that is currently a Navy pilot.
I’ll do everything in my power to discourage my younger grandsons from joining.
I have a 19 year old grandson that was valedictorian,for a time I was encouraging him to apply for ROTC scholarship.Year ago I told him to forget it, Screw this “ woke”military.
