re: Wanna Talk about the Drowned Paddleboarder Found on Obama's Property on Martha's Vineyard?

It was not like the man was out in open ocean. This is inside a quiet bay with a barrier to the ocean. With the exception of a small channel for boats to pass in and out is fully enclosed from the surf, no rip tides, no crashing waves, no undertow. Last I checked, paddle boards and the paddles float, so it wasn't like there was nothing close by to grab for staying afloat, unless the man was stoned, drugged and/or unable to think. Even though the bay was a very calm & placid location, to put yourself in that situation (alone, wearing black, night time, no life jacket, can't swim, etc.) is so stupid that it defies belief. How do you fall off a paddle board in flat water??

Holy shite you are too stupid to quit.
Tell us again that analysis about how there was only a 100:1 shot of the obamas knowing the only other black guy in the area who either paddle boarded out from their house or several miles away.

there are photos of the Chef with Dubya. Obama took him home to be his house chef though.

As Rohan said, the key is staying calm. It is easy to drown when you panic. A friend and teammate of mine in HS drowned in the waist deep water of a lake. He could have just stood up, but he panicked, and even in water that shallow it took us a good long time to find him when we realized he was missing because the water was not clear.

It causes you emotional distress to accept that dude was tight with Hussein. Just say it.

Hank you know so much but your reasoning of same is much less than a Turkey walking into a slaughter plant.

oh, I forgot to mention, the ankle tether on paddle boards, you are tethered to a floating paddle board. I guess this man was not using the the ankle tether, as well as not wearing a life jacket. The combination of dumb decisions in this scenario is almost too foolish to believe.

quote:I saw the 911 call came from the Obama residenctial address but I'm sure they have phones outside the house, pool area or somewhere. The caller might have had his cell phone in a water proof pouch. But seems like there would be Secret Service people assigned to the property to keep it safe even when the Obama's aren't there. Otherwise, they would not know what they were coming home to. Lots of questions to be answered but we might not be the ones who ever hear the answers.
Who was with him? Who called 911?

Well when you are just making shite up in one of your explanations, the other will look more reasonable by comparison

Both technically possible. Is one more statistically-likely than the other? Yes.
You have already shown us your ineptitude in understanding or applying statistical probabilities earlier in this thread when you told us there was less than 1% chance the Obamas knew this guy.

The initial report in the OP said the call came from the Obama residence. I think that would make them, absent any other information, the most likely to know the victim.

100:1 was a bit of hyperbole. I admit that. But it was a guy on a paddle board in a public waterway popular with kayakers and paddle boarders, less than a quarter mile from the public access point where members of the public put their craft into the water. Add that he was a Black man in a very White area, and the odds are probably closer to 10:1 than 100:1.

Hillary just posted something on Twitter about climate change and how we need to do our part.
I almost replied with “Clearly, you’re doing yours by killing people and contributing to population decline! Keep up the good work!”
But no lie, I don’t wanna get killed myself so I backed down. I got a family and don’t need to have a “heart attack” with 2 bullets to the back of my head.
