Excerpted fair use: (the video is eye opening)

Can Jewish people walk the streets of Paris in peace?

That's the question Zvika Klein - a journalist at an Israeli news website - says he set out to answer. He borrowed the "10 hours in...." YouTube format, in which a hidden camera is used to show what it's like to walk a city's streets. It first appeared back in October, when hidden camera footage of a woman facing sexist abuse as she walked the streets of New York was watched almost 40 million times. It spawned a raft of of copycat videos.

Klein's version takes place in the French capital. In the film he dons a kippah - the traditional Jewish skullcap - in front of the Eiffel Tower, and wanders the streets of the city. He appears to face significant abuse as he walks around. Residents are seen staring and spitting at him, while others apparently shout "Jew" and "Viva Palestine". The footage was gathered over 10 hours at the beginning of February, says Klein, and edited down into a clip lasting just over 90 seconds. It's been watched more than 100,000 times in less than 24 hours, and the number is climbing fast. He told BBC Trending he flew to Paris to conduct the experiment for NRG, a news website based in Israel.

Paris is a shite hole full of asshats.

I'm always skeptical when people make these types of videos, then the videos result in some exteme behaviors that conveniently support whatever premise that the people had going in--and conveniently result in the attention and popularity they were seeking.

If one spent enough time, and strategically interacted with enough people, he/she could walk into any city, even here in America, and make it seem like it's full of bigotry and hatred or make it seem like it's full of the most tolerant and caring people on earth.

In my experience, the truth is some people will treats others terribly, some people will treat others amazingly, and most people are just missing their own business trying to get on with their daily lives.

Well it's not like the French don't have a long history of antisemitism, and with the addition of emboldened Muslims, I'm sure some abuse occurs.

But I certainly question any time some video like this comes out, it's just too convenient. Like the girl in NYC with the cat calls. Does it happen? I'm sure it does. Does it happen enough that a 60 second video filled with them reflects reality? Of course not.

Exactly. You could go to certain areas of any major city in the U.S., walk around long enough to get some strong reactions and over present them in a video.

My wife works downtown, she gets catcalled every now and then, but it isn't like a lot of the videos present it.

So the answer to the question is yes?

And then turn it into a comedy and gross $260 million plus worldwide!

I, an attractive white male, could probably get a minute of insults out of 10 hours of walking around in any particular city. Nothing to see here, IMO

Is it really a stretch to believe that immigrant Muslims from the mid-east are very anti-Semitic? Do you people really struggle to believe that?

It would be interesting to see the reaction if the same gentleman had strolled around Paris for 10 hours, after replacing the skullcap with this:

No one is questioning that a lot of Muslims are anti-semites. People are questioning, validly, whether that translates to actual issues walking the streets of Paris.

90 seconds of video out of 10 hours of footage indicates that maybe it isn't a big deal.

Eurocat will be here any minute to tell us that he didn't see it when he was in Paris last year, therefore it must not exist.

I mean given how condensed that video was from the original footage, it's a legitimate point.

just a matter of time until they get invaded again and we have to go save them.

They just dont remember or have any gratitude that they were the biggest pussys of WW2 and needed a bailout.

It's prudent to be skeptical, but a lot of times the mindset these people had going in may have also been shaped by experiences that occurred long before they turn the camera on.

The best place to be a Jew is in the United States. The best place to be anything, is in the United States. This in fact, was the theme at Buddhist temple this week, in remarks delivered by the head nun of a leading temple in Vietnam. America is the shiznit, because despite Progressive efforts to bring back "the ancient hatreds " people are generally very receptive to other faiths and creeds. I hope we have the wisdom to preserve that.

It's like all the videos of young white kids getting attacked by black guys.

Yeah, you film 100 black dudes and call them figs, you will get punched.

It depends on what the rest of the video footage shows. Was the 90 seconds the only part or was it just a sample?

I think it was edited and condensed. It would be nice to see the raw footage.

I'm actually not surprised. The Europeans overall are more racist than most here in the States. If you ever went to a Soccer( football) match in Italy for example...but it is true in France as well, the N word is thrown about with a casual ease that would make the most redneck Alabama fan cringe.
