The game plan is some Democrats said they won’t negotiate til the government is open. I don’t trust those worthless pieces of shite, but that’s at least what Trump must believe.

If RBG were to die within the next week, if I am Trump I make a phone call to Chuck and Nancy. I tell them that if they want a moderate on the Supreme Court, they give me the wall. If they continue to obstruct, I nominate Amy Coney Barrett to the bench, declare a national emergency at the border, and win in the court system.
SCOTUS would vote 6-3 to block an injunction from the 9th Circuit until the case snakes its way up to SCOTUS, all the while the wall gets built during that time.

Conservative on the court like Barrett or prior is bigger than the wall, we already have 580 miles of wall, and never had border security. Get another conservative on the court, and we’re making our kids future possible

If Trump does that he loses re-election in a big big way. He likely has now anyway to give away the court seat would be a nail in his coffin. It would be suicide on steroids.

Better tactic: Build a section of wall in Arizona, and have an ally sue to block it. The circuit that includes Arizona rules in favor of the wall.

Like many have already said we need the conservative justice more than we need the wall. We can find other ways if necessary to secure the border but we absolutely can not survive a liberal supreme court
