I can only speak for myself, but my problem with what the Pope said is he’s never said a word about all the misery, death, destruction and war Iran has inflicted on the Middle East and the rest of the world for the past almost 50 years, but decided to suddenly make his proclamation against “war” when the US finally decided it was time to deal with Iran.

Because France is a majority Catholic Country whose military committed horrible atrocities in Algeria and Tunisia in a Colonial war which lasted better part of a decade. You might want to go read up on the Algerian War of Independence and the atrocities carried out by Muslims, the same Muslims that memorial is dedicated to, against Christian civilians.
Yes, the Pope is laying a wreath at a memorial dedicated to men who raped, tortured, and murdered Christian women and children in the name of Allah.

Upon learning something new tonight, I looked up the war mentioned. A whole lot of similarities to what's gong on in Iran right now aside from being ruled by either country.
