How about the people vote for who they think represents them the best and can do the best job?
I am all for women being equal: If voters think a female candidate will do the best and then they should vote for her. If voters think a male candidate will do the best, then they should vote for him.
That's equality, everyone gets considered for their merit and what they bring to the table and whoever is best is the one who gets the job or wins the election, etc.

what ever happened to every vote counts, and let democracy win....
